The Ontario Numismatic Association (ONA) is a non-profit educational and fraternal society whose members can peruse their common interests. Membership includes collectors, professional numismatists and local coin clubs. The association's prime objectives are the study, research and publication of articles as well as the dissemination of information on the numismatic goings-on throughout Ontario.
THE ONA NUMISMATIST
The official publication of the ONA, the Numismatist, is mailed (by post and soon the there will be the option of e-mail) to members a minimum of 6 times a year. Each issue contains educational articles and information on coin club activities, with concentration on Ontario. Although we do not guarantee so, recent issues have been up to 36 pages in size.
LOCAL NUMISMATIC HAPPENINGS
The ONA Numismatist, the life-line to all members, focuses on "local" news and news of interest to Ontario residents. This includes listing of where and when local coin clubs meet, and news on coin shows and annual dinner plans hosted by local coin clubs. Many members travel to nearby towns to visit coin club meetings and annual shows because of information published in the ONA Numismatist. A perfect way to keep up with late-breaking announcements.
SPECIAL ANNUAL CONVENTION ISSUE
One of the publications you will receive as a member, either as a separate issue or in conjunction
with the bi-monthly bulletin, is information on the Association's annual convention. It includes details of commemorative convention medal issues, banquet, educational programs, dealer participation, draw information and registration form.
