Open Design Competition
The Ontario Numismatic Association (ONA) sponsored an open design competition for the reverse of their 50th Anniversary Medal to be struck in 2012, in conjunction with other initiatives of the Anniversary committee.
The compettion is now closed and the committee is busy at work considering the design that were submitted.
We want to thank those that took the time to submit designs for our anniversary medal. Once a decission has been made we will post further information here.
The obverse of the medal will be our standard crest design above.
We wish to thank all participants in this design competition for their support in helping to make this special anniversary celebration very special indeed!
Please remember we are not judging the artistic competence of the submission material itself, rather its potential as struck in a medal suitably engraved by a master engraver from the chosen minting facility. The material must be of sufficient detail to give the engraver suitable guidance to execute your design.
